ANCIENT BABYLON. Ancient Babylon was founded by the Akkadian king, Sargon of Akkad, around the year 2300 BC. Sargon of Akkad is known for creating one of the first empires in history, the Akkadian Empire, and he established Babylon as a major city in the region of Mesopotamia.

Although Sargon of Akkad is credited with the initial founding of Babylon, the city's growth and development occurred over centuries, with various rulers and dynasties contributing to its expansion and prosperity.

Ancient Babylon was a city-state located in the region of Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) that existed from the 18th century BC to the 6th century BC. Babylon was a major cultural and political center in ancient Mesopotamia and is known for its impressive achievements in architecture, literature, mathematics, and astronomy.

Some key points about ancient Babylon include:

1. Hammurabi's Code: One of the most famous achievements of Babylon was the establishment of the Code of Hammurabi, a set of laws inscribed on a stele that governed Babylonian society. This code is one of the earliest known examples of a written legal code.

2. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon: One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were said to be a magnificent series of tiered gardens built by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife.

3. Babylonian Mathematics: Babylonians made significant contributions to mathematics, including the development of a positional number system based on the number 60 (which is why we have 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour).

4. Ziggurats: Babylonians are known for their impressive ziggurats, which were massive stepped pyramids that served as temples to the gods.

5. Astrology and Astronomy: Babylonians were skilled astronomers and developed a complex system of astrology that influenced later civilizations.

6. Fall of Babylon: Babylon was conquered by the Persian Empire in 539 BC under the rule of Cyrus the Great. The city gradually declined in importance after this conquest.

Overall, Babylon was a significant cultural and political center in the ancient world, contributing to the development of civilization in Mesopotamia and beyond.

BABYLON, NIMROD AND THE BIBLE. Only seven verses in the Bible mention anything about Nimrod. Little is explicitly said about him. He was a mighty warrior, the son Cush, and the great-grandson of Noah.

However, legends and tales galore have sprung up about this elusive figure. So what do we truly know about Nimrod?

What did Nimron Do in the Bible?

Nimrod is mentioned in three passages.

The first and most thorough passage is Genesis10:8-12: "Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; that is why it is said, 'Like Nimrod, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in Shinar. From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah--which is the great city."

The next time Nimrod appears is in a genealogy at the the of 1Chronicles1:10 states, "Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on earth."

The final passage also only mentions Nimrod in passing. Micah5:5-6 says,

"And he will be our peace when the Assyrians invade our land and march through our fortresses. We will raise against them seven shepherds, even eight commanders, who will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the of Nimrod with drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrians when they invade our land and march across our borders."

From this passage in Micah, we gather that Assyria was still regarded as the land of Nimrod--at least by the people of God--hundreds of years later. However, we learn little about Nimrod himself.

What Is the Meaning of Nimrod's Name?

The name "Nimrod" has now come to mean a great hunter since Nimrod was identified as a mighty hunter in Genesis10:9. However, the name probably had a different meaning in the original language.

Some scholars posit that Nimrod actually came from a Semitic root, a language similar to ancient Hebrew. The root appears to be a word roughly Romanized to marad, meaning "to rebel."

Because of this, Nimrod is often thought to have been a rebel against the Lord. The phrasing in the Bible that says he was a mighty hunter "before the Lord"--(e.g. Genesis10:9) might more literally be translated "to the face of the Lord"--in other words, in opposition to God. This possible translation may back up Nimrod's name as The Rebel.

Who was Nimrod in History?

Theories abound about Nimrod's life, from Jewish stories and legends to modern interpretations. We will begin with a few things that we can gather with more surety from the biblical text itself.

The genealogies in Genesis10 and 1Chronicles1 distinctly list Nimrod's lineage. His father was Cush, the son of Noah's son Ham. Thus, Noah was Nimrod's great-grandfather.

Only a few generations had passed since the Flood that destroyed the world and washed away all of humanity other than Noah and his family. Due to Ham's unfortunate behavior in Genesis9:18-27, Noah cursed Ham's son Canaan, who was presumably Nimrod's uncle. However, it does not appear that Noah directly cursed Ham's other sons. Cush, then, may not have been under the curse.

Nimrod, according to Genesis20:8, was "mighty warrior." The Hebrew word here, gibbor, could potentially also mean "tyrant," though it is used many other times in the Bible simply to refer to strong warriors or champions, so the the potential conclusion that he was tyrannical is tenuous.

Nimrod was presumably some sort of king, as the Bible records the "centers of his kingdom" in Genesis10:10-12. These include the great cities of Babylon and Nineveh. His Kingdom appears to have extended across Sumer, then called Shinar.

After Nimrod established cities in Shinar, Genesis10:11 records that he went to Assyria and built great cities there, including Nineveh.

What Can We Learn from Nimrod?

We may never know how many of the tales about Nimrod are myths and how much is history, but we can learn one thing. Being strong or powerful does not always equate to being in the right with God. Ultimately, Nimrod's kingdoms fell--Assyria to Babylon, Babylon to Persia, Persia to the Greeks. However, God's kingdom endures forever. Though Nimrod's name lives on in the Bible as a mighty man, it does not live on as a patriarch of the kingdom of God, like the names of Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and others, who may not have been kings, but followed the will of God. Our power and worth come from God alone.

BABYLON, NIMROD, SEMIRAMIS, AND THE TRINITY

There is a theory or more than a theory that the Christian doctrine of the Trinity has origins in the ancient Babylonian religion, which involved the worship of a triad of gods.

BUT YOU MUST KEEP IN MIND THE WORD, "TRINITY," IS FOUND NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE, AND NEITHER IS DECEMBER 25TH, CHRISTMAS, THE BIRTHDATE OF JESUS, AND NEITHER OESTER (EASTER) WITH EASTER BUNNIES LAYING EGGS. INSTEAD OF EGGS, THEY GIVE BIRTH TO OTHER BUNNIES. CORRECTLY, IT'S CALLED THE "PASSOVER."

This ministry believes in the following article:

WELCOME TO THE MESSIANIC REVOLUTION

11-3: The Christian trinity had its origins in Nimrod

BY RICHOKA7 COMMENTS

In Genesis Chapter 10, we are told that the start of Nimrod’s kingdom began in Babylon, Erec, and Accad.

Now all of these cities were located in a place called the Land of Shinar (modern day Iraq in our times).

Furthermore, in Genesis Chapter11, we are told the following:

It came about that as they traveled from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shin‘ar and lived there.-Genesis 11:2

So the construction of the Tower of Babel was being spearheaded by Nimrod himself.

Let’s talk a little bit about Nimrod because there is much more to him than meets the eye.

Nimrod was born from Cush who came from the cursed line of Ham.

Nimrod took a lady named Semiramis to be his wife.

Semiramis proclaimed herself to be the Queen of Heaven.

After Nimrod died, his wife proclaimed him to be God.

They had a son who was named Tamuz.

Now interestingly Tamuz was considered to be the reincarnation of the God-man Nimrod.

So we have Nimrod who is God the father, Semiramis, the queen of heaven who is considered to be the mother, and the son who is considered to be the incarnation of the father.

Doesn’t this teaching strangely resemble something you may have learned in a Christian church?

Can you see how the Christian teaching of the trinity had its origins in paganism?

Just know this.

All false religions have their beginning in Nimrod.

These are also known as the “Mystery Babylon Religions”.

No wonder the Jewish people have always been at such odds with Christianity.

It is interesting to note that the names of Nimrod and Semiramis have changed throughout the centuries depending upon which culture and language they appeared in.

Here is a brief snapshot of the names that Nimrod and Semiramis went by as they were adopted by different cultures.

In the Bible, Nimrod is also known as:
-Baal
-Ninus (the god-man who built Ninevah),
-Marduk
-Mulch

Semiramis (as the mother of all mothers was considered to be the fertility goddess):
-In Egypt, her name was Isis
-In India, her name was Indrani
-In Asia, her name was Cybelle
-In Canaan (now the holy land), her name was Ashtoreth or Astarte
-In modern day English, her name is now Easter

It is also interesting to note that although the word Babel now means disorder and confusion, it originally meant the “City of God”.

Remember “el” means “god”.

Look closely at the spelling of the word “bav-el”.

We know from the account of the Tower of Babel that all the languages of the world originated from one language.

However, it is also true that all the pagan religions of the world have their origin from that one source as well.

“Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it … From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity” (The Story of Civilization, Caesar and Christ, Will Durant, Part III, 1944, p. 595).

REVELATION 18:4AMP. "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues."

This ministry's Founder believes that the saints or children of God are to remove themselves from the Trinitarian doctrine or its belief system. And to enter the non-Trinitarian system into, for example, the Tripartite God of the Bible doctrine.

HOW IS SYMBOLIC BABYLON RELATED TO REVELATION18:4

Symbolic Babylon is related to Revelation18:4 in that it represents the corrupt and idolatrous world system that God will judge in the end times. Revelation18:4 is a call for God's people to come out of Babylon and separate themselves from its sins and plagues.

https://biblehub.com/revelation/18-4.htm

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2018:4&version=KJV

According to some biblical scholars, symbolic Babylon has both a religious and a political aspect. The religious aspect is described in Revelation17, where Babylon is portrayed as a prostitute who seduces the kings of the earth and persecutes the saints. The political aspect is described in Revelation18, where Babylon is depicted as a great city that dominates the global economy and trade. Both aspects of Babylon are under the influence of Satan and the Antichrist, who will oppose God and His people in the last days.

https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Revelation%2018%3A4

Symbolic Babylon is contrasted with the New Jerusalem, which is the holy city that God will establish on the new earth. The New Jerusalem is the bride of Christ, who is faithful and pure. The New Jerusalem is the place where God's glory and presence will dwell with His people forever.

THE TRIPARTITENESS OF GOD

1JOHN5:7NKJV--"For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one."

((Founder's comments: First, it is critical to use the New King James Version Translation to be explained in due time. Secondly, this verse is not saying that there are three persons or gods in heaven, nor is it saying the Son is in heaven, despite what other translations say. Though the King James Version is the original and most reliable translation but the clarity of Holy Spirit is most applicable for the purpose of the applicable truth.

We proceed to the meaning in a non-traditional and non-mainstream manner. According to the collegiate dictionary, the word "tripartite" means 3 parts, as a human person is made up of 3 parts: (1) his main body or himself, (2) his mouth, where his words come out of, (3) his breath (spirit), which is his power to exist and be alive. Therefore, we may call him to be a "tripartite man."

The Bible says that a man was created in the image of God, the Father, Genesis1:27. Therefore, in 1John5:7, there are three parts of Father God that bear His Witness in heaven: the Father (Himself-Part 1), the Word [out of the Father's Mouth-Part 2], the Holy Spirit (Breath-Part 3 and Power of the Father). Because the definition of "spirit" means breath.

The Scriptures say, "Prove ALL things...(1Thessalonians5:21-28), "...precept upon precept, ...line upon line, Here a little, there a little." (Isaiah28:10-13). Though Father God can make all three of his parts speak, as God only can but it doesn't mean that God is three gods or three people in one, as Trinitarians or the Trinity doctrine mistakenly claims, and neither is a human person three people in one body, because after all, man was created in the image of God. We are not talking about character, emotions, or anything else not related to the makeup of God or man. THEREFORE, GOD IS ABSOLUTELY A TRIPARTITE GOD, and most definitely is NOT a God of the Trinity. And if you now believe that God is a Tripartite God, you have become or can be called a "TRIPARTITIONIST," amen?))

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE FEATURES OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

The Bible does not give a precise measurement of the Kingdom of God, as it is not a physical or geographical entity, but a spiritual and relational reality. However, the Bible does use some metaphors and images to describe the Kingdom of God, such as a mustard seed, leaven, a treasure, a pearl, a net, a wedding feast, and a vineyard. These metaphors and images suggest that the Kingdom of God is something that starts small but grows large, that permeates and transforms everything, that is valuable and worth seeking, that is inclusive and diverse, that is joyful and festive, and that is fruitful and productive.

https://www.learnreligions.com/what-is-the-kingdom-of-god-701988https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2013:18-21&version=KJV

The Bible also gives some glimpses of the future manifestation of the Kingdom of God, when God will create a new heaven and a new earth, and when the New Jerusalem will descend from heaven. The New Jerusalem is described as a city with a wall, gates, foundations, and streets, and its dimensions are given in Revelation 21:15-17:

> And he who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. Its length and width and height are equal. He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement.

A stadion was a unit of length equivalent to about 185 meters, and a cubit was a unit of length equivalent to about 45 centimeters. Therefore, the city was about 2,220 kilometers long, wide, and high, and its wall was about 65 meters thick. However, these measurements are not meant to be taken literally, as they are symbolic of the perfection, completeness, and glory of the city. The city is shaped like a cube, which is reminiscent of the holy of holies in the temple, where God's presence dwelled. The city is also adorned with precious stones and metals, which reflect God's beauty and splendor. The city is the dwelling place of God and His people, where they will enjoy His presence and worship Him forever.

THE NEW JERUSALEM (KINGDOM OF GOD) FROM HEAVEN DESCENDING ONTO THE PHYSICAL MOUNT ZION IN JERUSALEM

The New Jerusalem is the heavenly city that will come down from God at the end of the age, as described in Revelation21and22. It is also called the bride of Christ, the holy city, and the tabernacle of God.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/history/topics/zion-new-jerusalem?lang=eng

https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/what-is-mount-zion-and-why-is-it-so-important.html

Mount Zion is a term that has different meanings in the Bible. It can refer to the hill where the city of David was built, the city of Jerusalem itself, or the dwelling place of God.

https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/mount-zion-in-the-bible/

https://www.christianity.com/wiki/bible/what-is-the-meaning-of-zion-in-the-bible.html

Some biblical scholars believe that the New Jerusalem will descend onto Mount Zion, as a fulfillment of the prophecies that God will establish His kingdom on Zion and that Zion will be the joy of the whole earth. They also point out that the dimensions of the New Jerusalem, as given in Revelation21:16, are similar to the size of the land promised to Abraham in Genesis15:18-21.
